27th Week

Tammy was able to come home Friday afternoon. She is continuing to have some cramping and contractions. She was given some medication to control them, and it is helping some. The next doctor visit will be on May 6th, and it is possible they will have to remove some more fluid. It depends on how fast it accumulates. She started her 27th week yesterday. Our biggest concern, aside from premature labor, is the concern that there are some genetic issues going on. The doctor expressed concern Thursday because of the single umbilical artery and the TEF that this could be the case. The genetic issue, if there is one, would likely be Trisomy 18, which is a fatal disorder. Most babies will not make it past a couple of months. So, needless to say, we are extremely concerned about this. Some of the amniotic fluid was sent off for further analysis and we hope to have the results by the next visit. The prayers we are requesting are that the contractions will subside, and no premature labor occurs. Also, we are praying that there are no genetic disorders. The baby's heart, is strong and anatomically fine. There are no other issues to our knowledge, aside from the ones already mentioned.

Thanks so much to all who are keeping up with everything and are praying. We truly believe God has a plan and a purpose for these things. As Romans 8:28 says, " And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.". We have confidence in this!!

God Bless,
Ryan

Ryan and Tammy,
We are praying for you. We are praying for the contractions to cease, and are grateful there has been no cervix dilation at this time. We will pray for this to continue as well. I am thankful to know the heart appears to be normal this is a positive sign. We are praying for good news in 10 days. We are believing in God to give you and your son a miracle, we know it is possible. God does great things everyday, and this news seems so overwhelming to us, but for God this is so simple and he can just provide Elijah with a good test result without and genetic defect, and this is our prayer. We have requested my Gran to place him on the prayer list at her church, as well as with her ladies prayer group, we have also placed him on the prayer list at our church, and have request many friends to send a word of prayer for Elijah, and Tammy. Please let us know if you need us, we really do understand how overwhelmed and concerned you feel. We are here if you need anything.
Love, Chris, Missy, and Tyler.

Ryan & Tammy,
Sissy doesn't have a computer so she wanted me to tell you all that she is praying for Elijah, Tammy, you and the boys. I will continue to pray that Elijah will not have a genetic defect, and that he will be full term and completely healthy and for Tammy to not have to have anymore fluid taken off and the contractions will cease and that God will give you peace and comfort during this time
We love you all very much.
Annie
