Well, we have had some major ups and downs in the last few days. As of Friday Eli started to have difficulty keeping his oxygen level at normal and up with his stats, which led to 8 episodes where he had to be bagged, which is any parents worst nightmare. As of this afternoon he had to be placed on the ventilator to help him breath and give his little lungs and heart a rest since they have been working so hard. All the doctors say he looks "good" for what all is going on with his vsd, asd, pda (all heart problems) and the esophageal atresia. He will remain on the ventilator until they feel he can handle it on his own. We thank God he has placed us where we are and with the team of doctors we have been in contact with they are providing wonderful care for our child and we couldn't be more grateful. He has a long road ahead but we know God has each path of that road laided out for us we just have to follow it. We would ask you would pray for us that we would make Godly decisions regarding his care and more specifically that our mighty and awesome God would close the hole in his heart. Thank you for all the prayers you have lifted up for us. We love each one of you.

Hey guys. I haven't posted yet, but I have been reading your blog. You have been in my thoughts and prayers. I'm glad to hear Elijah made it here and that Tammy is doing okay. I will pray for him and you during this difficult time. Your faith is evident in your comments and it is encouraging when I can't even imagine what you're going through. God's grace is sufficient and He is obviously guiding you through this season of your lives.
God bless,
Julie Mateyoke
We love you all very much! We pray for Elijah to stay strong and also for Mommy and Daddy too. He is beautiful! We will be there to meet him on Tuesday. We love you all so much and you know if you ever need us that we will be there as fast as possible.
Love,
Casey, Jonathan & Haylee
Julie forwarded your blog to me last night. You all have been in my thoughts and prayers and will continue to be. I have seen God work amazing miracles in similar cases and looking back it is so evident where His hand has played a big part. I am so glad that we've been able to get back in contact. Please let me know if there's anything we can do to help out and it will be done!
