Not Necessarily Bad News

Well, it isn't the news we had hoped for, but it is good. Eli's hole in his esophagus is smaller, just not closed yet. He is continuing to do well, so we will wait until next time. We pray it will be closed by then. He is doing well on the breathing support trials, so they are planning on extubating him tomorrow. Please pray he does well this time and can keep it out. He HATES that tube. His last x-ray showed his bones were healing from the fractures. He does not seem to be having any issues from that. He is up on his amount of formula, to 20cc's. And they are slowly weaning the methadone. All is well here. The Ronald McDonald house is just wonderful. There are so many things to do and we have at least one meal provided most days. I would encourage everyone to drop money in the boxes either under the drive thru window or inside. And save the pop tabs. This place is truly a God send for those of us in this situation.

God is continuing to give us strength and protection. We are truly blessed! We can still see his hand working and are truly blessed. Keep up the prayers for everything, especially the leak and the extubation.
